The point of view
One fixed page layout trying to serve every person’s different way of working. Every field visible regardless of relevance. No way for an individual to simplify their own screen without an admin rebuilding the layout for everyone else too. I’ve built the fix — a personalisable layer on top of existing Salesforce objects, added as an extra tab, so nothing is removed and nobody’s current setup breaks.
Before
One record page, ~100 fields, same layout for everyone. Nothing collapses, nothing is prioritised — the layout is whatever the business looked like when someone first built it.
After
A small set of core fields for everyone, plus a personal “My Fields” view each person builds themselves. Filled-in fields collapse automatically — what’s left visible is exactly what still needs attention.
